Job summary

Belden's RUCKUS Networks unit seeks a hands-on Hardware Engineer to design and bring up RF subcircuits and high-speed digital hardware for Wi‑Fi AP products. You will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical and Software teams to deliver robust boards from concept to product.

You will own schematics, PCB layout constraints, bring‑up, validation, and compliance support, while working with suppliers and cross‑functional partners to sustain and enhance legacy and new hardware.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience in high-speed digital hardware design.
  • Experience in schematics capture, PCB layout constraints, DFM, bring-up, and design validation.
  • Experience with interfaces such as PCIe, 10GE, DDR4, SPI, I2C, USB, UART.
  • Excellent knowledge of SI and PI for high-speed designs.
  • Excellent knowledge of DC/DC switching power supplies including PoE PSE and PD.
  • Proficiency in OrCAD, Allegro, Arena, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with regulatory testing and lab equipment.

  • Investigate, present, and evaluate new hardware solutions and PoCs
  • Review and evaluate designs of outsourced projects
  • Work with RF and antenna teams to integrate and validate designs
  • Generate documentation (PoC, PRD, HRD, HWFS, BOM, test plan, FA report)
  • Support compliance testing
  • Sustain legacy products

How You'll help us connect the world:

As a member of the Ruckus Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for system‑ and board‑level design of RF subcircuits based on various wireless industry standards. You will work closely with the broader engineering team, consisting of Electrical, Mechanical and Software Engineers.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and bring‑up Wi‑Fi AP products and accessories
  • Debug and validate Wi‑Fi AP designs
  • Investigate, present, and evaluate new hardware solutions and/or PoCs
  • Review and evaluate designs of outsourced projects
  • Work with RF and antenna teams to integrate and validate designs together
  • Generate necessary documentation (PoC, PRD, HRD, HWFS, BOM, test plan, FA report, etc.)
  • Support compliance testing
  • Sustain legacy products
Required qualifications:
  • Minimum BSEE with 5+ years of relevant experience in high‑speed digital hardware design
  • Experience in all aspects of hardware design including schematics capture, PCB layout constraint, DFM implementation, bring‑up, and design validation
  • Experience with common interfaces such as PCIe, 10GE, DDR4, SPI, I2C, USB, UART
  • Excellent knowledge of SI and PI for high‑speed designs
  • Excellent knowledge of DC/DC switching power supply, including PoE PSE and PD
  • Strong proficiency in OrCAD, Allegro, Arena, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with design for compliance/regulatory testing
  • Familiarity with lab equipment: logic analyzer, oscilloscope, Sifos PoE tester, thermal chamber, etc.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑function teams
  • Ability to proactively lead the whole design from scratch to product
You’ll excite us if you have:
  • Basic knowledge of RF and antenna
  • Familiarity with main Wi‑Fi SoCs in the industry, such as Qualcomm or Broadcom
  • Ability to manage third‑party for sourcing components, design, and/or design reviews
  • Experience in ODM, JDM design, and contractor manufacturing

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $135,600.00–$200,000.00 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
