Job summary

Four Ways Consulting seeks a Principal Full-Stack Engineer to lead enterprise applications with cloud-native tech and Generative AI. You will shape architecture, build scalable backend in Java/Python, design React front-ends, and drive AI-enabled solutions across AWS/Azure.

You will mentor teams, set engineering standards, and deliver high-performance, secure systems with a focus on GenAI, RAG, embeddings, and autonomous AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 17+ application development.
• Advanced Python programming experience.
• Strong front-end development experience using ReactJS.
• Experience developing applications with Node.js.
• Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience developing and deploying enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of API design, integration patterns, and system architecture
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies and enterprise AI applications
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• Experience with embeddings, vector search, and AI-powered retrieval systems
• Knowledge of Agentic AI frameworks and autonomous workflow orchestration
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale full-stack applications.
• Develop high-performance backend services using Java 17+, Python, and microservices architectures.
• Design and implement responsive front-end applications using ReactJS and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs, business services, and distributed systems.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Integrate Generative AI capabilities into enterprise applications using LLMs and foundation models.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Develop AI-powered applications utilizing embeddings, vector databases, and Agentic AI workflows.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineering teams and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.
• Drive software development best practices, code quality, and DevOps excellence
