Job description

Title: Principal Game Producer

Location: 100% Remote PST Hours

Compensation: $68.69-$89.51/Hour

Duration: 12-month contract

Work Requirement: US Citizen, GC Holder, or authorized to work in the U.S.

Overview

As a Principal Game Producer on an unannounced R&D project, you will lead delivery for one of our teams and contribute to raising standards across processes. You will ensure the team follows world-class development practices and collaborates effectively with other teams. Your role involves tracking progress, delivering content/features, and supporting project priorities, reporting to the Operations Director of the game.

Responsibilities

1. Drive the creation of product and feature roadmaps in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and leadership, establishing delivery schedules and milestones.
2. Direct team rituals and foster productive meetings and discussions.
3. Create clarity around project status, reflecting reality to the team and stakeholders in an actionable way.
4. Align strategic work between disciplines and project objectives.
5. Keep partners informed and engaged to ensure project success.
6. Iterate on production processes to improve velocity, collaboration, and visibility.
7. Maintain efficient work practices, including owning JIRA and managing Scrum processes.
8. Ensure psychological safety, healthy feedback culture, and conflict management within and between teams.
9. Mentor other production team members.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of production experience in dynamic environments such as games, tech, or media.
• 7+ years of game development production experience.
• 3+ years of senior production experience shipping large-scale games across multiple platforms with live services.
• Experience leading teams through the entire development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of various development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience managing live game operations.
• Deep understanding of games, gaming audiences, and industry trends.
• Proven ability to lead in ambiguous, collaborative environments.
• Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
• Experience in product management and prioritization schemes.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in AAA game development.
• Experience in mobile game development.
• Experience managing co-development or outsourcing partnerships.
