Job summary

Zillow Group is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of projects and mentor junior engineers. You will contribute to design, review peers' code, and advocate standard practices across a multi-functional team while supporting both web and API services using a broad tech stack.

The role is a teleworker position, with flexibility to work from a location of your choice in Mexico and travel to Mexico City for occasional events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with web/mobile web apps and APIs/services.
• Proficient in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects from design to deployment.
• Review peers' code and advocate standard methodologies.
• Facilitate engineering discussions and drive maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a multi-functional team.
• Collaborate across frontend and backend systems using modern tech stack.
