Job summary

GliaCell Technologies, LLC seeks a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer in Laurel, MD, to deliver end-to-end software for government contracts. You will engineer scalable UI, REST middleware, databases, and analytics within a fast-paced, mission-focused team.

You will modernize legacy systems, optimize backends with Python and JS, and leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development while collaborating across cross-functional partners. A top-tier security posture is required.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years Software Engineering experience; BS degree in Computer Science or related
  • One or more substitutions allowed for degree based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end full-stack solutions (UI, REST middleware, databases, analytics)
  • Automate opportunities and capabilities for CNO and partners
  • Maintain front-end interfaces (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery) and migrate to modern UI libraries
  • Optimize backends with Python, Asyncio, Pandas; update legacy analytics
  • Manage and deploy services in MACHINESHOP, Docker, Nginx, GitLab CI/CD; plan expansion to C2S/HCI
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and velocity

Job Description:

GliaCell is seeking a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

  • Join ATPG’s Endpoint Snapshots (ES) team as a high-caliber full-stack engineer thriving in a rapid development and deployment environment.
  • A key focus of this role is the ability to react swiftly to emergent mission opportunities, designing and deploying new capabilities under tight timeframes.
  • You will provide end-to-end support to a cross-functional team automating critical solutions across the entire software stack, including user interfaces, middleware, databases, analytics, and cloud architectures.
  • Collaboration is essential as you work alongside teammates and partners to modernize legacy infrastructure and scale future capabilities.
  • Ultimately, your responsiveness will directly accelerate mission success by leveraging cutting-edge automation and AI-assisted development tools to deliver actionable insights..
Responsibilities:
  • Develop end-to-end full-stack solutions, including user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics to support the ES team’s mission.
  • Automate new opportunities and capabilities to be seamlessly leveraged by CNO and its partners.
  • Maintain and update existing front-end interfaces utilizing JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Bootstrap, and jQuery, while preparing to migrate future front-ends to modern UI libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Optimize existing backends using Python, Asyncio, and Pandas, and occasionally perform updates to legacy Java Map/Reduce and GHOSTMACHINE analytics.
  • Manage and deploy services within existing infrastructure environments using MACHINESHOP, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD, while planning expansions into C2S and HCI.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Opencode to accelerate code delivery and enhance team development velocity.
Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

  • Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. (This position requires in-scope poly, within 7 years).
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • 12+ years Software Engineering experience and a BS degree in Computer Science or related. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
Key Skills:
  • Experience with successful software development on NSANet, demonstrating familiarity with environment ecosystems such as MACHINESHOP, C2S, or GHOSTMACHINE.
  • Production-grade software development experience in Python and JavaScript to build robust, full-stack architectures.
  • Knowledge of developing user interfaces, REST middleware, databases, and analytics within a cross-functional team framework.
  • Experience with collaborative development workflows, showcasing a strong history of teamwork and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with git-based version control systems and continuous integration pipelines.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience working within CNO, specifically with ATPG, TURBINE/ASGARD, or other automation platforms, alongside past CNE exposure.
  • Experience using and customizing AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, Opencode, etc.) through advanced configurations like Skills and Memory.
  • Familiarity with modern UI libraries (React, Angular, Vue) and cloud-based hosting environments like AWS.
  • Experience with infrastructure expansion and deployment utilizing tools such as C2S, HCI, Docker, Nginx, and GitLab CI/CD.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred position during the hiring process. SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE.
