Job summary

Baxter seeks a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to enterprise healthcare apps, designing secure backend systems and scalable frontends. You will collaborate across teams to deliver impactful software that saves lives.

You will build RESTful APIs with C#/.NET, mentor engineers, and ensure code quality and compliance while staying current with modern frameworks and tools. This role emphasizes leadership and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent.
• Experience as a full stack engineer comfortable moving between front-end and back end.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and building scalable backend systems.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL / MSSQL and Azure storage tables.
• Experience with token-based security for web applications.
• Experience with containerized components (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with software architecture design and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems for healthcare applications.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using C# and .NET.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop high-quality, testable software meeting product, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in Agile activities and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and drive quality, security, and performance.
