Stellarus in Oakland is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to architect and deliver mission-critical healthcare applications. You will lead across products, shaping architecture, data models, and cloud-ready backends while leveraging AI tools to boost productivity.

The role emphasizes delivering secure, scalable software in a regulated healthcare space, collaborating with product, design, QA, and security teams, and balancing delivery speed with strong engineering judgment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in full stack development.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar) and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful integrations.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• Familiarity using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Bicep, ARM, Terraform) to provision and manage cloud resources.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in professional software development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar).
• Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare) preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards or enterprise healthcare platforms (e.g., Epic) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recognized technical authority across multiple products, platforms, or domains, shaping application architecture and engineering direction beyond a single team.
• Develop secure, testable, and maintainable code aligned with modern architectural patterns
• Implement system integrations and manage reliable data models for distributed components
• Ensure applications are cloud-ready and compatible with established CI/CD workflows
• Lead resolution of the most complex and ambiguous technical challenges, driving durable, long-term solutions that improve platform health and reduce systemic technical risk.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, code quality, and documentation, while critically applying outputs
• Drive system reliability and observability practices, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of complex production issues across systems
• Define and promote engineering standards, patterns, and best practices that improve scalability, security, reliability, and delivery effectiveness across the organization.
