Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Full Stack Engineer based in the United States. The Principal Full Stack Engineer will shape the next generation of a customer relationship management platform serving the automotive repair industry. In this high-impact role, you will lead architectural decisions, build scalable software solutions, and drive complex products from concept to launch. You will focus on core platform capabilities, data ingestion, processing, and automation while ensuring performance, security, and maintainability. A central part of the role involves integrating large language models and designing AI-driven, autonomous workflows directly into engineering and production systems. Working closely with product leaders and fellow engineers, you will translate customer needs into technical innovations that deliver measurable business value. This opportunity offers substantial technical ownership, room to experiment with emerging technologies, and the chance to influence engineering practices within a fast-moving, AI-first environment. The position is fully remote within the United States and suited to an experienced engineer who thrives on accountability, innovation, and ambitious technical challenges.

Accountabilities
  • Technical Strategy and Platform Ownership: Lead the development and optimization of core CRM components, particularly data ingestion and processing capabilities that power advanced automation.
  • Architecture and Scalability: Design reusable full-stack components, services, and system architectures that support platform performance, reliability, and long-term growth.
  • Product Development: Lead major product initiatives from technical vision through implementation and launch, adapting priorities as business requirements evolve.
  • AI and Automation: Integrate large language models and AI-powered capabilities into production systems, designing autonomous workflows that improve product functionality and engineering efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers and other stakeholders to understand customer pain points and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Engineering Excellence: Establish and promote best practices for code quality, security, automated testing, maintainability, and technical documentation.
  • Code Reviews and Mentorship: Conduct in-depth code reviews, share technical expertise, and help raise engineering standards across the team.
  • DevOps and Infrastructure: Influence CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code practices, using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to support reliable delivery.
  • AI-Enabled Engineering Infrastructure: Design and maintain infrastructure that supports AI-assisted development, autonomous workflows, and agentic systems in production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging technologies, challenge established approaches, and implement improvements that strengthen platform capabilities and development processes.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of professional experience building complex, web-based SaaS products.
  • Strong ownership and accountability, with a demonstrated ability to take challenging projects from initial concept through successful delivery.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and the use of AI tools to accelerate development and solve technical challenges.
  • Proven experience deploying AI-powered features and autonomous, agentic workflows in production environments.
  • Practical experience integrating AI tools into CI/CD pipelines, such as automated code-review agents, AI-assisted testing, or agentic workflow orchestration.
  • Strong database expertise across relational systems such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Redis, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in terms of product outcomes and collaborate effectively with engineering and business leadership.
  • Familiarity with .NET, Node.js, TypeScript, and React is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a founding engineer or in an early-stage startup environment is beneficial.
  • Experience building or integrating Claude marketplace plugins and related Anthropic ecosystem capabilities, including prompt chaining, tool use, or Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, is a plus.
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States and collaborate effectively with teams operating on Eastern Time.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation with equity options, offering an opportunity to share in the company's success.
  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the United States.
  • 100% employer-paid medical insurance.
  • Flexible paid time off, with a minimum of 15 days.
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), and 401(k) options.
  • Learning stipend to support continuous professional development.
  • Work-from-home equipment to help create a productive home office.
  • Significant technical ownership and opportunities to influence platform architecture and product direction.
  • An AI-first, agentic engineering environment that encourages experimentation with emerging technologies.
  • A collaborative and inclusive culture that values diverse backgrounds, continuous learning, and meaningful contributions.
