Job summary

Xe.com is seeking a senior frontend engineer to shape the user-facing side of our cross-border payments platform. You will lead frontend development using Vue 3+ or React/Angular with a willingness to switch, emphasize clean architecture, and mentor teammates.

The role targets at least five years of production software experience, with strong TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and modern tools like Vite. Collaboration with designers and stakeholders in an Agile setup is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software.
• Proficiency in Vue (3+), or strong experience in other major frontend frameworks with the desire to switch to Vue.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript.
• Strong clean code habits.
• Strong architectural knowledge of frontend architecture and OOP/OOD.
• Strong code review skills.
• Experience mentoring other developers regarding best practices and code quality.
• Experience with modern Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with writing unit tests using Vitest or Jest.
• Understanding JavaScript build tools and module bundlers like Vite/Rollup/Webpack.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and ability to collaborate with designers.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience or openness to AI coding tools like Claude Code, Copilot.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

About This Role

We're looking for a senior frontend engineer to help build and shape the user-facing side of our products. You'll bring deep expertise in modern frontend development, a strong sense of clean architecture, and a collaborative mindset. Beyond writing high-quality code, you'll mentor other developers, drive technical direction, and work closely with designers and stakeholders to deliver intuitive, polished interfaces.

This is a hands-on role for someone with at least five years of experience who takes ownership of code quality and enjoys raising the bar for the whole team.

If you're proficient in Vue 3+, that's ideal, but we're equally interested in strong React or Angular engineers who are excited to make the switch. Experience in payments, FX, or other regulated industries is a plus.

What You'll Do

• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, helping align both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

XE offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this role ranges from $108,000 USD to $168,000 USD. Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
