Monarch Quantum is seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to build foundational FPGA/embedded systems from the ground up. You will work hands-on in a fast-paced startup environment, collaborating with leadership to establish engineering practices that drive mission success.

You will develop FPGA-based solutions, guide architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring timing closure, robust verification, and clear documentation across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in FPGA/Embedded Development.
• Experience with FPGA fabric architectures and HDL.

Responsabilités

• Develop FPGA-based solutions using hybrid C/C++ and HDL fabrics.
• Provide firmware architecture guidance and design trade studies.
• Collaborate with program managers and engineers to define scope and timing.
• Verify requirements and interface control documents with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to best practices.
