Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Principal FPGA Designer to lead FPGA-based systems for the TeraWave program. You will guide design, verification, and deployment of high-speed data processing and signal processing hardware, collaborating across disciplines.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship, and delivering robust space-grade solutions. The position requires deep FPGA expertise, experience with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, and a track record of running complex projects from concept

Qualifications

• 12+ years of FPGA design and verification with leadership experience.
• Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog for RTL design.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces and DSP in FPGAs.
• Familiarity with space-grade design practices and SEE mitigation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA designs through full development lifecycle from requirements to hardware bring-up.
• Develop verification environments, testbenches, and coverage models.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence across the team.
