Job summary

Lanteris Space LLC is seeking a Principal Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA or remotely within the United States with periodic visits to the Palo Alto location. You will work on challenging projects including NASA’s Artemis program and the Power Propulsion Element, developing software for embedded RTOS and flight systems.

The role requires 15 years of software development experience, expertise in embedded C++ on multicore architectures, and VxWorks experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field; four additional years of experience may substitute.
• 15 years of software development experience.
• Embedded C++ programming on multicore-processor architecture.
• VxWorks experience.
• Ability to travel to Palo Alto, CA office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for embedded Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for flight software systems.
• Develop software verification plans, unit level and open loop test suites, and procedures, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure that software system requirements are met.
• Perform software product life cycle management.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, processes, and system-specific issues.

Lanteris Space LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, is currently seeking a Principal Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our team in our Palo Alto, CA offices. This role may also be performed remotely within the U.S. with periodic visits to our Palo Alto location. In this role, you will work on a variety of challenging projects including NASA’s Artemis program, the Power Propulsion Element.

Intuitive Machines is a leading space infrastructure company that builds spacecraft, connects networks, and operates infrastructure-as-a-service for commercial, civil, and national security customers. With a proven track record across the space domain, the Company, through organic growth and portfolio expansion, has built over 300 spacecraft, delivered over 260 kilograms of payload to the lunar surface, and provided precision navigation expertise that has guided spacecraft across our solar system.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Ability to travel to Palo Alto, CA office as needed

Salary Ranges

• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $146,000.00 - $244,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $146,000.00 - $244,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $146,000.00 - $244,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $161,000.00 - $269,000.00 annually.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $168,000.00 - $280,000.00 annually.
