Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to partner with Defibrillation Solutions Marketing and Strategy. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting while delivering insights to guide strategic investments and performance improvements.

You will develop models, analyze trends, and support cross-functional leadership with actionable recommendations. This role emphasizes month-end closes, long-range planning, and collaboration across a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience developing financial models and performing complex financial analyses.
  • Experience evaluating business performance and providing financial recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing and Strategy leadership to support financial planning, forecasting, and business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, market opportunities, and strategic investments.
  • Analyze operating results, key business drivers, and financial trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end financial reporting activities, including variance analysis and performance reviews.
  • Build and manage forecasts, budgets, and long-range financial plans.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve financial performance.
  • Prepare financial reporting, presentations, and business reviews for leadership teams.
  • Support process improvements, reporting enhancements, and ad hoc financial analyses across the organization.
