Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a senior failure analysis engineer for our Florida FA lab on the Space Coast. Relocation is covered and the total package includes a base salary of $180k to $205k plus a 20% bonus and stock.

You will own end-to-end investigations of the most challenging device failures. You will perform schematic fault isolation, curve tracing, emission microscopy, and physical deprocessing to establish root causes.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on FA experience across electrical and physical FA flows.
• Expertise in schematic fault isolation and bench characterization.
• Capability to perform decap and wet chemistry for root cause.
• US citizenship or GC holder; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end failure analysis investigations from bench to root cause.
• Perform schematic fault isolation and curve tracing.
• Apply emission microscopy and physical deprocessing for root cause.
• Act as senior SME guiding the FA team.

When a power chip feeding an AI data center fails, someone has to find out why, fast. That's this job.

My client is a global semiconductor company investing into their Florida failure analysis and reliability lab, the biggest investment in the site's history. It's their only FA lab in the Americas. Every failed device from every product line in the region comes through this team, and demand is ramping hard on the back of AI power.

This is a hands on lab. No technicians, just engineers who each run their own investigations end to end: schematic level fault isolation at the bench, emission microscopy, then physical deprocessing through to root cause. You'd be the most senior person in the room, the one the hardest failures escalates to and the one the rest of the team learns from. Not a management job.

What you'll need:

• Deep hands on semiconductor FA experience covering the full flow, electrical and physical
• Electrical fault isolation is the differentiator: schematic debug, curve tracer, bench characterization of failing devices, emission techniques
• Physical side to match: decap, deprocessing, wet chemistry, cross sectioning
• Product background is flexible. Power is ideal, but strong analog or mixed signal FA transfers fine
• US citizen or green card holder (ITAR facility, no sponsorship available)
