Job summary

Bethel University in Tennessee seeks Principal Faculty for the Physician Assistant Program to teach as assigned and remediate PA students under the direction of the Academic Director.

Responsibilities include developing and aligning the program curriculum, selecting admissions, providing instruction and counseling, coordinating curriculum, and participating in committees while maintaining student confidentiality.

Qualifications

The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited PA Program and possess a graduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies or comparable degree.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. The ability to work collaboratively is essential.Applicants must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Candidates must also: exhibit abilities in planning and organization; possess a solid work ethic and a positive attitude; be resourceful and computer literate. Some travel is required.

The candidate must be NCCPA certified with appropriate clinical practice experience, and hold a current PA license in Tennessee or be eligible for licensure.

The ideal candidate has experience educating PA students either as a clinical preceptor or as a faculty member.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.

The ideal candidate must be NCCPA certified with appropriate clinical practice experience, and hold a current PA license in Tennessee or be eligible for licensure.

Physical Requirements:

Work requires light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on a frequent basis (up to 50% of time) or continuous walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an occasional basis up to 15% of time); or heavy physical exertion (over 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed under basically normal working conditions as in a standard office and classroom environment.
