Job summary

Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York invites applications for 2 Principal Faculty positions in a new Physician Assistant Program. These are full-time roles focused on curriculum development, teaching, and accreditation processes, reporting to the Program Director and Senior Associate Dean.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Must hold a current license as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
  • Must be a Certified Physician Assistant with no less than five years of clinical experience.
  • Has knowledge of and commitment to the physician assistant profession.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison to teaching faculty for college resources, textbooks, teaching materials and course scheduling.
  • Identify need for and help acquire adjunct instructors.
  • Participate in all program committees.
  • Participate in AECOM committees as appropriate.
  • Serves as a faculty advisor for students.
  • Participate in other program responsibilities such as curriculum development and student evaluation.
  • Participate in the duties necessary for program maintenance of accreditation.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by the program director.
  • Develop or validate instruments to monitor overall efficacy of didactic and clinical courses.
  • Testing instruments reflecting course objectives
  • Validation and standardization of testing instruments
  • Curriculum adherence to national and state accreditation requirements
  • Monitor individual student progress during the didactic year.
  • Teach in didactic curriculum.
  • Develop evaluation instruments to identify students with performance deficiencies.
  • Develop plans for student remediation and coordinates reexamination as warranted.
  • Identifies the need for extra course work or tutoring.

About Us

Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) is currently recruiting 2 Principal Faculty as part of the inaugural leadership team for a new Physician Assistant Program. The program is currently working with the ARC-PA on receiving accreditation and expect to enroll the first cohort of students in the Fall of 2028. The Principal Faculty will play a crucial role in development of the program and will actively participate in all aspects of the accreditation process. This is a full-time faculty position with 1.0 FTE dedicated to Einstein’s Physician Assistant Program.

Ongoing, Principal Faculty members in Einstein’s Physician Assistant Program have a wide range of responsibilities to include curriculum development, monitoring, and execution, student advising through all stages of the program to include remediation as necessary, teaching didactic and clinical skills sessions.

Principal Faculty report the Program Director and have responsibility to the Senior Associate Dean for Physician Assistant Program.

Minimum Salary Range

USD $150,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range
