Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Facilities Planner (Level 3) in Dulles, VA to lead space planning for multiple buildings and coordinate with leadership, programs, and customers. The role manages moves, hoteling for hybrid staff, and the Archibus system while guiding design concepts and implementation.

The ideal candidate has architectural/space planning credentials with extensive experience in facilities planning, construction documents, and real estate software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year.
• No clearance required to start.
• Experience in Facilities Planning and construction processes.
• Experience in reading and analyzing construction documents.
• Experience in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Project).
• Experience using CAD software.
• Experience using real estate asset management and booking software such as Agile Quest and Archibus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages facilities projects and space planning activities, liaising between leadership, Business Unit, Program, and customers.
• Supports space planning as primary contact for office space requests.
• Manages space planning for multiple buildings with varied scopes.
• Coordinates moves, updates Archibus, and generates monthly space-use reports.
• Develops fit plans with current and proposed layouts and data requirements.
• Coordinates and administers hoteling offices for hybrid employees.
• Initiates Purchase Requisitions and tracks POs, submittals, and change notices.
• Plans, designs, and oversees reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of facilities.
• Maintains risk register for Capex and Opex projects; supports mitigation and recovery.
• Identifies tasks requiring inspection and coordinates with customers and contractors.
• Acts as primary contact with Sustainability and oversees Region Sustainability Roadmap.

Principal Facilities Planner – Level 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA

As a Principal Facilities Planner you act as primary contact for facilities department for all space requests, coordinating efforts with different teams and stakeholders, and leading projects on design concept and implementation. You will also create graphic communication documents to communicate ideas, scopes of work, material specifications and floor utilization plans.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversees and manages the facilities projects and space planning activities and serves as liaison between leadership, Business Unit, Program, and other customers.
• Supports space planning efforts as a primary contact for any office space requests.
• Manages space planning responsibilities for multiple buildings, with a variety of projects in broad range of size and scopes.
• Coordinates employee moves, updates Archibus system, and generates monthly reports on space utilization.
• Develop fit plans including current and proposed layouts of furniture with power/data requirements for design build fit outs.
• Coordinates, and administers hoteling offices for hybrid employees.
• Initiates Purchase Requisitions and tracks Purchase Orders, submittals, and Change Notices.
• Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Maintains opportunity and risk register for Capex and Opex projects as needed.
• Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required
• Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractors
• Acts as primary contact with Sustainability and oversees Region Sustainability Roadmap
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
