Job summary

Epic Games is seeking a Principal Environment Artist to elevate the visual quality of Fortnite’s worlds. You will lead hands-on environment production, mentor artists, and collaborate with Art Direction, Technical Art, Design, and Engineering to balance visuals with performance and memory constraints.

You will develop scalable workflows, establish standards, and help drive environment art practices across the project, mentoring peers along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years in real-time 3D environments for games.

Responsibilities

• Create benchmark-quality environment assets, materials, modular kits, and complete scenes for Fortnite.
