A leading healthcare technology company is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to act as a technical liaison between development and Medical Informatics. Candidates should have over 15 years of experience in the medical informatics sector, with expertise in cloud architectures and VMWare solutions. This remote position offers dynamic and flexible working conditions, with responsibilities spanning project management and customer interaction.
The Principal Enterprise Architect is the technical liaison between development and the various Medical Informatics departments. Principal Enterprise Architects must have expert level knowledge in all areas of medical informatics; enterprise IT infrastructure design and deployment, medical imaging industry in general and clinical environment workflow. In addition to technical expertise, HCUS relies on the Principal Enterprise Architect to deliver industry leading customer satisfaction, requiring excellent communication and verbal skills within project teams and externally with customers.
The Principal Enterprise Architect must be adept to working in highly dynamic multi-vendor environment and stay up to date on healthcare and general IT trends, best practices, regulations, and a wide range of hardware and software products.
This position requires interaction with development, marketing, sales, technical support, field service, the end user, outside vendors and all other service and administrative groups within Fujifilm involved in the order through remittance process. Must develop relationships and communication channels to ensure status feedback and cooperation with shareholders.
Responsible to act as the single point of contact between Engineering/Development and Medical Informatics for new products, software changes including testing, and new information dissemination.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as a primary technical resource for projects across Synapse various product lines
Maintain the technical information on the interoperability of the various product lines in Fujifilm and how they affect one another
Maintain existing written documentation, periodic review, and Intranet postings
Excellent written technical documentation skills and ability to generate concise and accurate feature requests for product definitions
Responsible for documenting, planning, and implementing enterprise architectures
Work with development to define new product features and enhancements/fixes to current product features
Work with marketing to assist in defining requirements for product specifications
Design and Help Develop Serviceability Tools to better deploy and troubleshoot and market the product
Plan and deploy all Synapse MI software solutions in enterprise level environments
Architect, Deploy and troubleshooting third party hardware and software infrastructure:
VMWare, or other hypervisor, architecture solutions
Storage: FC infrastructure, disk array design, setup and deployment, storage protocols: FC, NFS, CIFS, DAS, NAS and Tape media
Cloud architectures and deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
RDMS, Oracle, Oracle RAC, and Oracle DataGuard required
Networking from a low level
Load balancers and content switch appliances
Learn new Synapse and third party products as they are released, often with limited training
Lead and coordinate First Of Kind deployments
Lead and coordinate Security/Vulnerability Issues
Lead and Coordinate Subject Matter Expert (SME) Groups and Forums from various departments
Ability to take a lead role in large scale issue resolution
Participate in non-project related activities, such as presenting material at team meetings or working with cross-functional teams on internal projects
Mentor, train, and actively participate in knowledge transfer to peers
Must be able to work independently as the lead project technical resource
Deliver consistently high level of customer satisfaction
Adheres to the Company’s quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position description are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures
Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations and standards
Familiarity with ITIL Support Process Model and support levels
Stays up to date on the latest Synapse and IT products
Self-directed with excellent management skills
Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge to peers and other associates
Demonstrates exceptional project leadership, time management, negotiation, communication and prioritization skills
Routinely takes part in identifying, testing and developing new processes and technological improvements which improve upon our platforms or processes
Supervises the work of others as requested
Strong interpersonal, team building and leadership skills

Resourceful and thorough with a strong sense of urgency
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
15+ years of experience in Synapse PACS, Synapse EIS, Synapse Cardiovascular, Synapse VNA, Synapse Pathology, Synapse Mobility, and/or Synapse Analytics Products
15+ years in the deployment of third party hardware and software infrastructure and solutions
VMWare, or other hypervisor, architecture solutions
vSphere products: ESXi, vRealize, SRM. Preferred
Storage: FC infrastructure, disk array design, setup and deployment, storage protocols: FC, NFS, CIFS, DAS, NAS and Tape media
Cloud architectures and deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
RDMS, Oracle, Oracle RAC, and Oracle DataGuard required
Networking from a low level
Load balancers and content switch appliances
Be able to interpret and troubleshoot Wireshark captures
15+ years working with development teams as a primary point of contact for features and requests
15+ years experience with enterprise solution deployments
Expert Level Knowledge of clinical data transfer protocols and interfaces (DICOM, HL7, XML, etc.)
Expert knowledge of PACS and Clinical Information Systems for Radiology, and related services including workflow
Expert level knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery implementation
Expert level technical documentation skills
Certifications are a must

Physical Requirements:
The position requires the ability to perform the following physical demands and/or have the listed capabilities.
The ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time
The ability to use your hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time
The ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time
The ability to lift and carry up to ten pounds up to 20% of applicable work time
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day, up to 4 hours at a time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to reach above their head to work on equipment that is on a desk, on the floor, or mounted to the ceiling, must also be comfortable on ladders.
Ability to use hands to type and have the manual dexterity to manipulate hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches etc.
