Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Principal Engineer to design, build, and maintain VaiDA mobile experiences. You will own the technical direction for VaiDA mobile, translate AI capabilities into intuitive workflows, and ensure secure, scalable, high-performance apps integrated with Vertex’s AI platform.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing and delivering mobile applications in a professional environment.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
• Experience building secure, performant mobile features.
• Ability to create intuitive user experiences with attention to detail.

Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Principal Engineer, VaiDA Mobile Experience will help bring Vertex’s AI experience tool, VaiDA, to life through intuitive, high-quality mobile experiences that make AI accessible wherever work happens. This role will design and develop secure, performant, and user-friendly mobile capabilities that connect seamlessly to Vertex’s AI and agentic platform, while also supporting existing mobile applications across Vertex.
