Job summary

Ensurge Micropower is seeking a Principal Engineer — Thin-Film & Process Engineering to lead development, optimization, and scale-up of thin-film and cell manufacturing processes for solid-state microbatteries.

This role is hands-on and requires deep expertise in sputtering/PVD, thin-film processing, and DOE-driven optimization to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing capabilities. You will collaborate across design, materials, equipment, and manufacturing teams to drive performance and yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant engineering field, with 8+ years of experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with sputtering/PVD and thin-film process development.
• Proven ability to develop manufacturing processes and DOE-based optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of sputtering/PVD for microbattery layers.
• Develop recipes, operating windows, and process control plans.
• Translate R&D processes into scalable manufacturing with DOE-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with materials, equipment, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive yield, throughput, and reliability improvements.
