Your Career

The Cortex Vulnerability Management Scanning team seeks a Principal Software Engineer (Full Stack) to build software providing visibility into behind-the-firewall attack surfaces, enabling prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities via the XSIAM platform.

Your Impact

• Design, build, and maintain the end-to-end experience for our network vulnerability scanner, including software within customer networks and the user interface within XSIAM.
• Research and utilize open source network scanning solutions.
• Analyze solutions, identify scalability barriers, recommend and implement improvements.
• Participate in architecture strategy sessions to design scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems, reduce technical debt, and improve development practices.
• Drive technical best practices and introduce new technologies.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through collaboration and ownership of projects.

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 5+ years as a professional full stack software engineer.
• Experience with API design and distributed backend systems.
• Ability to switch between research, design, prototyping, and implementation.
• Experience with cloud managed services, preferably GCP.
• Proficiency in Python and Rust, Golang, or C.
• Knowledge of major cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Angular.
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, GPEN, Pentest+).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and vulnerability methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools like Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark.
• Experience contributing to open source projects.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network architecture.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS.
• Understanding exploits and skills in enumeration and exploitation.
• Experience with deploying on-premises or private cloud software.
