Westinghouse Electric Co in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Reactor Vessel Internals - Principal Engineer. Hybrid work arrangement with design and analysis of primary boundary components for Westinghouse nuclear plants, including the AP1000 and AP300 fleets.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Eng, Eng Mechanics or Aerospace Eng; alternate degrees acceptable with component design experience.
• Registered Mechanical PE.
• Minimum 8 years of applicable experience.
• Experience with ASME Section III and Section XI criteria.
• Experience with FEA and ANSYS.

Responsabilidades

• Perform design and analyses for repair, modification and qualification of primary boundary components in Westinghouse nuclear plants (AP1000, AP300).
• Use FE simulations (e.g., ANSYS) and hand calculations to qualify component design.
• Lead a technical team to project completion within safety, quality, schedule and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with other components, systems, and manufacturing for integration and issue resolution.
• Develop project schedules with project managers and subsystem leads.
• Identify and define technical risks and pursue resolution.
• Apply industry, regulatory, NRC/DOE/ASME codes and criteria in design activities.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with partners including national labs and vendors.
• Support plant refueling outages, on-site or remotely, including 12-hour shifts and overnight work as needed.
• Deliver high-quality engineering or physical material products.
