Responsibilities

• Own 45nm Silicon Photonics technology product ramp from development to mature technology.
• Own technology module, prioritize projects, delegate tasks, define improvement experiments.
• Develop/qualify silicon photonics process flows to meet performance, reliability and defect-free manufacturing.
• Detect line issues via data analysis and implement containment to protect yield and delivery.
• Collaborate with device/process module teams to drive development of new production technologies.
• Drive cost reductions through waste elimination, line and test yield improvements, and efficiency gains.
• Ensure product route synchronization with baseline technology.
• Engage customers by reporting issues, status and milestones.

Summary of Role

Our Quantum Technology Solutions group is seeking professionals to support the state of the art 300mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Malta, New York.The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration of semiconductor devices; monitoring performance and driving improvements related to technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and more.The team is also responsible for the development of new and emerging technologies through definition/execution of experiments and technical data analysis.The ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of semiconductor principles and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve semiconductor technologieswith quality, cost, and delivery all considered.

Essential Responsibilities Include

• Taking responsibility for the success of the 45nm Silicon Photonics technology product ramp from development to mature technology
• Complete ownership of a technology module, accountable for prioritization of projects based on business need, delegation of tasks to extended module team, lead for definition of improvement experiments and hardware disposition
• Responsible for developing/qualifying silicon photonics process flows and process integrations to enable meeting the product requirements for performance, reliability and defect free manufacturing.
• Detecting line issues through data analysis and driving appropriate containment and resolution in a timely manner in order to limit the impact to yield and delivery
• Collaborating with device, process module in driving development work for new production technologies
• Driving cost reductions through expense elimination, line and test yield improvement, and efficiency improvements
• Ensuring product route synchronization with baseline technology
• Customer engagement through reporting of issues, status and milestones

Required Qualifications

• Requires a technical (University) degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline plus the below relevant experience: BS and a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience
• MS and a minimum of 2+ years of experience
• PhD and a minimum of 1+ years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience includes Integration experience, Lithography, Semiconductor Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing and process integration, test chips and test structures for yield limiter determination, improvement and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, as well as internal and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with or exposure to (through University Degree) Silicon Photonics
• Excellent structured problem solving and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Lab or pre-professional experience in semiconductor processing
• Understanding and knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)

Expected Salary Range

$85,000.00 - $146,000.00 The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
