Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal Engineer (Physical Security) to lead the development of secure-by-design capabilities within the Systems Engineering & Assurance discipline for major transport projects.

You will define security strategy with clients, manage design across portfolios, and ensure compliance with industry standards including Network Rail Security Assurance Framework and CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven physical security experience with commercial acumen.
• Experience in secure-by-design, threat and vulnerability assessments.
• UK rail industry experience with physical security management.
• Membership/qualifications from UK security bodies (e.g., CSyP, RSES, ICAO AvSec PM).
• Knowledge of security engineering concepts and lifecycle delivery.
• Ability to convey physical security concepts to clients.

Responsibilities

• Define secure-by-design processes across projects and programmes.
• Lead security strategy with clients and prospective clients.
• Design and manage physical security across our portfolio of projects.
• Advise on Security overlay to RIBA plan of work, Network Rail Security Assurance Framework and DfT SIDOS.
• Review Physical Security deliverables for technical excellence and client compliance.
• Support development of a physical security capability across the Systra group, UK contact.
• Guide peers in implementing Physical Security processes and requirements.
• Prepare technical deliverables and tender responses.
• Ensure CDM health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Manage project-related correspondence.
