Job summary

Mondrian Alpha in New York seeks a Principal Engineer to own the firm’s P&L platform, sitting at the crossroads of Trading, Operations, Finance, Risk and Technology. You will lead hands-on architecture, software engineering and production support to modernise the P&L infrastructure that underpins a sophisticated multi-asset trading platform.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in financial tech, strong Java/Python skills, and proven ability to design scalable, enterprise-grade distributed

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience building financial technology platforms.
• Extensive experience designing, building or owning P&L systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the firm's P&L platform, including calculations, data flows and integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
• Design, build and enhance technology supporting trade lifecycle processing, positions, P&L, treasury, compliance, fund accounting, settlement and reconciliation.
• Partner with Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations and Technology to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across P&L calculations, trade booking, position management and reconciliations.
• Lead technical projects from design through implementation and mentor teams across OT platform evolution.
