RealREPP is hiring a senior design engineer to lead conceptual design for complex projects and manage a team of engineers. You will ensure design standards, provide cross-department engineering support, and act as design expert in project meetings.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree, 10–15 years of experience, and a PE license; MS degree is preferred. The position is on-site in Tempe, AZ, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Position Summary

This position manages conceptual design for specified projects. In addition, this role manages a larger group of engineers, responsible for achieving project goals and objectives.

What You’ll Do

• Establish department objectives based on company strategic goals
• Ensures engineering standards are maintained and followed
• Provides design and engineering support to other departments as needed
• Services as design expert at project team meetings
• Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
• Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, etc.
• Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Mastery knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong public speaking ability
• Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel

What You Bring To The Table
