Manager Engineering Facilities 2 – Woodland Hills, CA
Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems seeks a Manager of Engineering Facilities to oversee strategy, planning, operations, and project execution for a 525,000‑square‑foot portfolio across 37 acres in Woodland Hills. The role requires managing staff, budgets, capital planning, space utilization, maintenance programs, and stakeholder communication for a workforce of approximately 1,100 employees.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage staff of exempt, non‑exempt, and contracted workers.
- Attract, retain, and develop talent; execute a strategy to create an inclusive culture and engage the workforce.
- Plan and forecast multi‑million dollar allocated indirect budgets.
- Develop, oversee, and forecast capital planning needs for each location.
- Act as liaison with business units to obtain and interpret program facilities space requirements.
- Develop and oversee campus master planning focused on utilization, organizational needs, efficiency, capital availability, and future business outlook.
- Ensure accuracy of space data for office, lab, manufacturing, and warehouse usage and occupancy.
- Allocate office, lab, manufacturing, and warehouse space for all locations.
- Develop long‑range plans to meet future business needs.
- Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs with a focus on sustainability goals.
- Maintain familiarity with building operations and systems.
- Serve as liaison with owners of rented office space for planning, leasehold improvements, occupancy, and lease terms.
- Forecast sector/division level space utilization requirements; develop executive‑level space facilitation plans and brief executive management.
- Facilitate and manage communications with internal customers, management, stakeholders, and facilities teams to ensure pertinent information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored, and retrieved effectively.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Planning, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related field plus 8+ years of related experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; or a Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of applicable experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience successfully managing and leading teams.
- Experience with facilities management and maintenance systems such as Archibus, Maintenance Connection, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED AP, LEED Green Associate, WELL AP CFM or FMP designation or equivalent environmental sustainability experience.
- Experience in classified building facilities infrastructure & space planning.
- Experience in real estate acquisition and management.
- Experience developing and leading executive‑level briefings.
- Active U.S. Government Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
Salary & Benefits
Primary level salary range: $146,600.00 – $219,800.00. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (vacation and personal business). Eligible positions may receive overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and— for senior roles— long‑term incentives.
