Job summary
Apex Systems is seeking a hands-on Principal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of cloud-native SaaS solutions on Azure, Snowflake, and AI-enabled tech. You will shape architecture, mentor teams, and drive modern web and data platforms.
Remote in the Eastern Time Zone for a 7-month contract, you will own end-to-end development, guide CI/CD and security practices, and collaborate with Product, Security, and Operations to advance modernization initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience at senior/principal level.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and distributed systems.
- Expertise in Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and micro frontend architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS architectures on Azure.
- Lead development of microservices, APIs, and micro frontend applications using Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Build and optimise data platforms using Snowflake, dbt, and Azure data services.
- Drive AI adoption across products and engineering teams.
- Implement CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and operational best practices.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to guide technical strategy and modernization initiatives.
