For more information, visit www.gf.com**Summary of Role:**The Fab9 Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) module is seeking a motivated Principal Engineer to become part of our 200mm Fabricator team, fully on site, at Fab9 in Essex Junction, VT. This Mon-Fri daytime position will sustain, improve, and own existing CVD processes and equipment as well as develop new ones. The ideal candidate will support fabrication of dielectric and conductive films utilizing CVD methods and applicable chemistries. **Essential Responsibilities:*** Collaborate daily with maintenance technicians, process technicians and peer engineers to meet production demands* Drives continuous improvement projects with respect to equipment availability, cost reduction, and yield improvement* Supports or leads cross functional problem solving, involving facilities, maintenance and equipment engineering* Supports installation and startup of new or retrofit equipment* Mentor and lead lower-level engineering team members **Other Responsibilities:*** Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs* Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor **Required Qualifications:*** Education –Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Materials or related engineering field plus 4-5 years relevant experience **OR** Masters degree plus 2-4 years relevant experience **OR** PhD plus 1-2 years relevant experience* Problem solving and communication of action plans* Travel - Up to 10%* Fluency in English Language – both written & verbal* Physical Capacity Demands – Ability to lift and carry parts up to 30 lbs.
