• Manage and configure Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and related services.
• Monitor and improve service health, availability and performance of 365 and Azure components.
• Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, RBAC, networking, and platform services for enterprise workloads.
• Automate operations and drive continuous improvement using PowerShell; participate in on‑call rotation.

Position Overview

Principal Cloud Engineer - Azure & M365. Responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and operational excellence of the enterprise Microsoft 365 tenant and associated Microsoft Azure environments that support operations for over 14,000 employees. Works under the guidance of the M365/Azure Principal Architect and daily priorities set by the Cloud Engineering Supervisor. Provides hands‑on engineering support across Microsoft 365 and Azure, including service administration, resource management, incident remediation, automation, and continuous improvement.

Location: Cranberry Township, PA. Hybrid role – work from home on Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Microsoft 365 Engineering
  • Manage and configure Microsoft 365 services including Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and related platform services.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve Microsoft 365 service health, availability, and performance issues.
• Azure Cloud Engineering
  • Manage Azure resources following approved architecture and standards, including subscriptions, resource groups, identity and access controls (RBAC), networking constructs, and platform/shared services supporting Microsoft 365 and enterprise workloads.
• Automation, Operations, and Governance
  • Use automation and scripting (PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency across Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Evaluate new Microsoft 365 and Azure features to recommend operational improvements.
  • Apply ITIL-based practices for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation to support a 24/7 global enterprise.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of Microsoft system administration.
• 3+ years of Microsoft cloud system/services support.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Azure cloud computing experience.
• Proficient administration of Microsoft systems and applications.
• Hands‑on experience managing Azure resources and subscriptions.
• Experience implementing cloud engineering work from established architectural designs.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerShell.

The base salary range for this position is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
