Job summary

Kovva is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own meaningful, end-to-end areas of the product, spanning the agent harness, evaluation systems, platform integrations, and user interface. We operate with a lean team, high autonomy, and fast paths from idea to production.

You will work directly with customers and observe media buyers using the systems you build, shaping an increasingly capable and scalable product surface with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with LLM agent systems, tool calling, multi-step orchestration, and structured outputs.
• Comfort with nondeterministic systems and using evaluations, replay, tracing, and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Integrate a new advertising platform: authentication, API client, read/write tools, Postgres integration, platform sub-agent, and model instructions.
• Own an agent-powered product surface: media-plan imports, campaign building, QA, and communication entry points.
• Eliminate recurring production failures by analyzing BigQuery logs and traces to identify root cause.
• Extend the agent harness: improve tool gating, context management, and payload handling.
