Job summary

Jobtailor in Palmdale, CA is seeking a systems engineer with DoD clearance to apply engineering principles across the lifecycle, from analysis to testing, and to participate in Agile teams.

You will work with SW, HW, and MBSE tools (DOORS, Jira, Confluence) and contribute to architecture development, interface resolution, and MBSE metrics; prior Product Owner experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years related engineering experience or Master’s degree in STEM.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP/PAR.
• Experience with Ansible Engine.
• Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and ClearQuest.
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Git, Confluence).
• Experience using SW test automation tools/frameworks.
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience in Agile development.
• Experience with MBSE, architecture development, system design and metrics.
• Product Owner experience.
• Experience with SW products in virtual environments (VMware, OpenShift, Kubernetes).

• Contribute to an implementation that refines capabilities into an integrated set of requirements for a fielded product.

• Perform trade studies, engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Actively participate in the efforts associated with Agile development.
• Work in an integrated team environment with other systems, software (SW), and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
• Prepare technical presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Review Test Plans and Procedures for requirements verification and support system integration and test of complex systems.
• Address interface and functionality problems between SW components and/or hardware (HW).
• Develop requirements for the subsystem and SRS/HRS specifications through use of MBSE tools & DOORS.
• Contribute to an implementation that includes the ability to analyze high-level needs and define a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.

• Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
• Experience with Ansible Engine.

• Experience using SW test automation tools/frameworks.
• Experience with Java, C++, or Python.
