As Ninety continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Principal Engineer who will lead the development of our products and who will report to an Engineering Lead. As a Principal Engineer, you will be a strategic technical leader responsible for shaping the architecture and long-term vision of our SaaS operations and distributed systems. You will drive critical projects, influence engineering culture, and ensure the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture for SaaS operations and distributed systems
• Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical initiatives with business goals
• Mentor and coach engineering teams to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Conduct high-level code and architecture reviews to ensure adherence to best practices
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with extensive experience in SaaS operations and distributed systems
• Deep expertise in designing and building scalable, distributed systems
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive technical direction
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages and cloud platforms
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
