Job summary

GlobalLogic seeks a Principal Medical Device Embedded Software Engineer in Waltham, MA to provide hands-on technical leadership for regulated embedded systems. You will own architecture, design, and implementation for medical devices, guiding cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle.

You will work on safety-critical software, design controls, risk management, and verification in a regulated setting. Strong leadership without direct management is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline listed in the job description.
• 10-15+ years of professional embedded software or firmware development experience.
• Proven track record in senior technical leadership roles for embedded systems.
• Experience with safety-critical medical devices and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for embedded software architecture and delivery.
• Design, implement, and maintain software for medical devices in regulated environments.
• Analyze legacy codebases, define interfaces, and drive architecture improvements.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, QA, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams.
• Lead reviews, risk analyses, and verification activities across the lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to software lifecycle documentation.
