Job description

Seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for designing new products and making improvements to existing space application products, including Reaction Wheel Assemblies (RWAs) and Control Moment Gyroscopes (CMGs). This role involves evaluating products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability, ensuring project completion, and collaborating with other members of the engineering staff to ensure timely design and production.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, modify, and test analog, digital, and power electronic circuits, and author related technical documentation.
  2. Support ongoing production and new business activities related to Honeywell's Momentum Controls Systems product lines.
  3. Provide written reports and oral presentations to program or engineering management and customers to explain technical approaches and project status.
  4. Accept work assignments and perform tasks with minimal oversight.
  5. Work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels.
  6. Demonstrate experience working as a member of a team and adapt well to a changing environment.
  7. Lead and direct the work of other engineers, technicians, and designers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 15+ years of experience in space/momentum control products.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Expertise in Analog and/or Digital Circuit Design and Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA).
  • Experience with power supplies, motor drives, feedback control loops, and embedded digital controls is a plus.
  • Strong electrical design and analysis skills along with good communication skills.
  • Comfortable working on hardware in a lab environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with modeling tools such as P-SPICE and MATLAB.
  • Basic understanding of spacecraft hardware including momentum devices.
  • Must be a US citizen; dual citizenship may be considered.
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid work model with initial on-site training required.
  • Core working hours typically from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay Rate:

Negotiable, based on experience and market rates.
