Job description

Principal Electrical Engineer (Sign-On bonus / Relocation Available for Select Candidates)

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will perform analyses, design, and assembly related to electrical engineering projects. Your responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. You will collaborate with design engineering to coordinate the release of new products, troubleshoot electrical circuits to identify root causes, and define corrective actions. Additionally, you will maintain records and reporting systems for manufacturing operations and mentor junior engineers in their technical development.

Your Challenge:

  • Collaborate with design engineering on new product releases and review engineering drawings
  • Use Altium to update schematics and layouts; create and improve designs
  • Develop and validate Interface Control Documents (ICD)
  • Integrate electrical and mechanical parts, including software/firmware updates
  • Transition designs to manufacturing
  • Support existing designs and model circuitry in LTspice
  • Perform analyses per MIL and AS9100 standards
  • Coordinate engineering changes and serve as a technical liaison
  • Establish manufacturing processes and work instructions
  • Review electronic components for compliance
  • Create and update manufacturing procedures
  • Drive continuous process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 15+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Experience in circuit board design with Altium
  • High-Speed Digital design experience
  • Knowledge of design to manufacturing processes
  • Ability to layout boards in Altium and model circuits in LTspice
  • Experience with circuit analysis, impedance matching, and reliability
  • Familiarity with MIL standards and power supply design
  • PCB troubleshooting skills
  • Strong work ethic and customer support focus
  • Ability to interpret drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of assembly principles and mathematical concepts
  • Analytical reasoning skills
  • Experience with CAD, continuous improvement, and hands-on work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, MS Office
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
