Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience developing electrical and embedded systems.
• Strong hardware design experience at system and component levels.
• Experience with PLCs/microcontrollers; programming and debugging.
• PCB design experience and manufacturing-ready schematics (Altium).
• Experience designing automotive grade power and data wiring harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor on multiple concurrent development programs and mentor engineers.
• Define priorities, identify technical risk and guide diverse teams in electronics and embedded systems development.
• Develop electronics architectures from board to system level for complex electromechanical systems.
• Ensure cross-functional teams are aligned on product requirements (mechanical, electrical, software, quality, regulatory).
• Design electrical systems meeting use-case, technical, operational, manufacturing, cost and schedule requirements.
• Review and guide component selection including sensors, actuators, controllers.
• Develop test plans and lead hardware integration, testing, debug and validation.
• Execute mixed/analog, power electronics, and digital circuit design and layout of PCBs.
• Facilitate board bring-up, test, and debug of new hardware.
• Develop electrical system budgets including estimating labor, material, and costs.
• Participate in design reviews and design FMEA analyses.
