Job description

The hardware team at ISEE is seeking a full‑time electrical engineer with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. This role involves research and development of replacement or new subsystems in the electro‑mechanical architecture for both prototype and production‑intent devices for autonomous vehicles.

Role responsibilities

• Embedded development, programming and collaboration with embedded developers
• Defining and designing communication systems such as CAN (J1939, CANOpen), SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232
• Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture
• Integrating electronics into vehicles
• Design of safety‑critical system elements
• Verification and validation of electrical systems
• Working with suppliers and driving implementation from development into production
• PCB layout and schematic design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Passionate about self‑driving vehicles
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with electrical drawings and parts management
• Experience with prototyping of boards

Preferred

• 10+ years of work experience
• Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types
• Experience with safety‑critical design work
• Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus
• Experience with verification and validation processes
