GS2 | B Corp™ is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for data centers. This remote, travel-friendly role places you as the technical owner of record, directing elite AE/MEP consultants and translating hyperscale requirements into reliable IFC packages.

You will drive end-to-end electrical design, oversee OFCI equipment, and manage FAT and commissioning strategies, while shaping an expanding engineering team to support aggressive growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive engineering leadership with data center experience.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical with strong power focus; PE license preferred.
• 20+ MW projects from Basis of Design through final turnover.
• Deep knowledge of Uptime Tier III/IV, ASHRAE 90.4 & TC 9.9, NFPA 70/70E/72/110.

Responsabilités

• Direct AE/MEP consultants through SD, DD, CD, and IFC phases to construction.

The Opportunity

Aggressively scaling and completely unbothered by market slowdowns, they have an immediate ~85 MW pipeline deploying right now across Central Texas, with over 1.2GW in future project pipeline

• Location: Remote (with 30% travel to Austin, TX)
• Organization: National Data Center Developer

About the Role

As Principal Electrical Engineer, you will serve as the premier technical owner of record. You'll direct elite AE and MEP design consultants, validate high-value OFCI equipment selections, lead customer-facing technical engagements, and translate hyperscale/enterprise requirements into flawless IFC packages that hit every schedule, budget, and reliability target.

What You'll Do

• Drive Pipeline Execution: Lead end-to-end electrical engineering across our expanding data center portfolio.
• Pioneer Advanced Cooling: Spearhead initiatives in cutting-edge, high-density cooling ecosystems- including direct-to-chip, liquid, and immersion technologies.
• Direct Elite Consultants: Masterfully manage AE/MEP consultants across SD, DD, CD, and IFC phases through to final construction support.
• Own Critical Infrastructure: Oversee OFCI equipment specifications, vendor selections, submittal reviews, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Champion Commissioning: Direct Level 1-5 commissioning strategies and guarantee seamless customer turnover.
• Scale the Function: Help architect and scale the internal engineering department to power our hyper-growth trajectory.

What We're Looking For

• Proven Leadership: 4+ years of progressive engineering leadership with dedicated, hands-on data center experience.
• Technical Credentials: Ideally a BS in Electrical Engineering (or Mechanical with strong power focus) and/or an active PE License (Texas or reciprocal).
• Scale & Scope: Demonstrated owner/developer-side experience successfully delivering 20+ MW projects from Basis of Design (BOD) through final turnover.
• Industry Mastery: Deep working knowledge of Uptime Tier III/IV, ASHRAE 90.4 & TC 9.9, and NFPA 70/70E/72/110.
