Responsibilities

• Develop corrective actions and long-term reliability improvements for power distribution systems, motors, generators, transformers, VFDs.
• Lead RCFA investigations for significant electrical failures.
• Lead reliability improvement projects and capital replacement planning.
• Analyze test data and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and review power system studies including load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, and harmonics.
• Collaborate with electric utility operators and project teams to ensure projects meet specs.

The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.**About the role**The Electrical Engineer is a member of the Electrical Engineering Team at Archaea Energy and will provide engineering expertise in support of RNG assets across the company. They are responsible for improving the reliability, availability, maintainability, and performance of electrical systems and assets. This position supports safe and efficient plant operations, provides technical leadership for predictive and preventive maintenance, performs failure analysis, and develops reliability strategies.The Engineer works closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering to minimize downtime, troubleshoot issues and institute solutions that contribute to reliability. This position will also be expected to act as an electrical resource and mentor for new project development as an electrical subject matter expert. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
