Orb Aerospace in Emeryville, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lay out the architecture for electro-mechanical air platforms, balancing mechanical, aero, and software requirements. The role involves building reliable electrical systems for autonomous aircraft.

You will design PCBs, manage low SWaP constraints, and integrate sensors, power systems, and EMI controls, with hands-on testing and collaboration across disciplines. Enthusiasm for innovative aviation hardware is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with electro-mechanical products and embedded microcontroller including Interrupts, Timers, DMAs, and interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet).
• Strong understanding of RF, EMI/EMI and Back EMF.
• Lithium Battery Management Systems.
• Speed Controllers and Brushless DC Motors.
• Sensor interfacing and Sensor Fusion.
• Wireless Communication.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics and using test equipment to troubleshoot.
• Understanding and applying EMI/EMF, Back EMF, and SWaP concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to take on additional duties.
