Job summary

Air Products Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical scope on a portfolio of projects in the Americas, including domestic travel to sites.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering degree and PE status, with strong experience in power systems, motors, switchgear, transformers, and power electronics. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and contribute to developing and improving electrical standards across Air

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree and PE status or actively pursuing PE.
• Experience in electrical power engineering within a process-design setting.
• Experience with large motors (1–10 MW); exposure to motors >10 MW is a plus.
• Experience specifying and procuring LV/MV/HV switchgear, power transformers and power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical scope of work on proposals and projects in the Americas region.
• Assign tasks to electrical design teams and provide supervision and technical input.
• Develop and maintain Air Products' electrical design standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and outsourcing partners to add value to projects.
• Define execution models for electrical engineering scope and improve processes where appropriate.
