Job summary

Prattwhitney is seeking a Principal DevSecOps Software Engineer to develop automation pipelines for embedded systems and mentor best practices. You'll automate security testing and design Infrastructure as Code while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Successful candidates will have advanced programming skills in Bash and Python, as well as a solid understanding of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. A degree in a STEM field and an active U.S. government security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 8 years relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5 years experience.
• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Strong Linux administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex automation pipelines for embedded systems.
• Automate security testing and vulnerability scanning.
• Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Mentor and advocate for DevSecOps best practices.

Skills

Advanced programming expertise in Bash and Python

Proficiency with GitLab and GitLab Runners

Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes

Advanced experience in Linux environments

Proficiency with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent

Solid working knowledge of IP networking and protocols

Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance
