Job summary

Octave is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to own the Kubernetes-based infra that underpins the OUX platform. You’ll design, deploy, and run the stack across multi-tenant environments, with a focus on reliability, security, and scale.

You will manage PostgreSQL databases, integrate Microsoft Fabric, and maintain Refold MCP tooling, ensuring strong CI/CD and observability across environments. Remote-friendly, US-based roles with broad collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in platform or infrastructure engineering with production Kubernetes experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL design, HA configuration, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on with Azure services: AKS, Key Vault, ACR, Monitor, networking.
• Experience with Infra-as-Code (Bicep, Terraform, Pulumi) and GitOps.
• Designing multi-tenant SaaS infra with namespace isolation and quotas.
• Understanding of OAuth2/OIDC and enterprise identity integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes infrastructure for the OUX platform.
• Own PostgreSQL layer: schema design, backups, performance tuning, migrations.
• Build and maintain Microsoft Fabric integration infrastructure.
• Deploy and operate Refold MCP tool configuration service with reliability guarantees.
• Design tenant provisioning with automated onboarding and quotas.
• Manage infrastructure security: network policies, secrets, certificates, ingress.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code and app deployment.
• Instrument observability: metrics, logs, tracing, cost-per-tenant dashboards.
• Collaborate on security architecture including AuthN/AuthZ and penetration testing remediation.
