Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Software Engineer (DevOps Engineer) to join on-site in Melbourne, FL. Role focuses on building data-flow capabilities between software products, leveraging APIs, and integrating tools across teams.

The position requires strong C/C++, Python development, Jenkins administration, and experience with API-driven integrations; a U.S. Secret clearance or interim Top Secret is required to start.

Qualifications

• Level 3 requires STEM degree and 5+ years of software engineering experience, or a Master’s with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year.
• Level 4 requires STEM degree and 8+ years, or a Master’s with 5 years, or a PhD with 3 years.
• Strong understanding of APIs and data exchange protocols.
• Software development experience in C/C++, Python, and other OOP languages.
• Jenkins administrative experience.
• Experience in design, development, testing, and integration of software tools using APIs.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or ability to obtain interim Top Secret.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless data flow between software tools and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing integrations for performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues promptly.
• Document integration processes and provide training to team members.
• Familiarity with tool APIs and Atlassian/Cameo/Ansys tooling.
