Job summary

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand headquartered in New York, is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to architect secure cloud infrastructure and modernize CI/CD across teams. • Demonstrated success in architectural leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and compliance-driven development (FedRAMP, DR).
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of CI/CD pipelines, transitioning from legacy systems to robust GitOps approaches using Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
• Implement advanced logging, monitoring, and observability solutions (e.g., Grafana) to support reliability and performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Information Security (InfoSec) teams to drive scalable, compliant DevOps practices.
• Mentor and coach junior and off-shore engineering teams, fostering technical growth and leading daily stand-ups.

Who you are

The platform is in the middle of a fundamental shift. AI and agentic systems are moving from experimental features to core infrastructure. You will build high quality products and tools relied upon by all internal engineering teams and customer-facing functions at Medidata. You'll be challenged both to develop new features in response to market demand and improve the performance and scalability of our applications to meet the growing user base.

• Mentor and coach junior and off-shore engineering teams, fostering technical growth, leading daily stand-ups, and representing the Platform team in key architectural meetings.

Competencies

• Hands-on expertise in AWS-based cloud systems, Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD orchestration. Proven ability to design scalable architectures, influence technical direction, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of AWS expertise in automating application build, test, and deployment lifecycles.
• 7+ years of experience with container orchestration (Docker, EKS), including Helm and GitOps paradigms.

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $184,500-246,000

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $165,000-220,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
