Job description

Deep Insight Solutions, Inc. (dba Blattner Technologies) provides services and tools in the Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning industry. We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to develop an expert level understanding of the Blattner platform infrastructure architecture supporting the continued maturation of the Blattner Product stack.

Job responsibilities and duties include:
1. Coordinate within the Platform Engineering team in the creation of standardized build architectures.
2. Provide operational support, administration and systems monitoring in response to escalated service tickets from our Blattner Product team as well as our customer base.
3. Ensure that issues and solutions are fully documented and communicated internally for product improvement and future product support requests.
4. Develop and present instructional / training materials and documentation as required to ensure knowledge is transferred across teams both within and externally of Blattner Product.
5. Assist in the lead development of containerization to support cloud vendor deployments using Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, Tanzu, etc.
6. Assist / Lead customer design and deployments of both the Blattner Product platform and custom deployments.
7. Present enhancement suggestions to the Principal Platform Engineer for all Blattner Product infrastructure.
This position does not supervise other personnel and has no direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or information Systems or any related IT field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or information Systems or any related IT field of study plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:
Linux systems administration
Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) Engineering experience
Relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Container Engineering
Configuration Management / Change Control (Puppet / Helm Charts)
Experience with setting up and configuring SSO technologies such as OpenID, OAuth2, SAML

Work from home. No Travel.
