Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Data Scientist Principal to deliver SETA support for a program based in Chantilly, VA. The role drives data-driven strategies, guides analytic approaches, and advises leadership on mission impact and model risk within the NRO GED framework.

You will design and manage data sets, integrate large data sources, and collaborate with data scientists, software developers, operators, and project managers to prepare data for predictive modeling and reporting while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing data sets for analytics.
• Ability to integrate large, complex data sets across programs.
• Proven data quality assessment and lifecycle management.
• Experience communicating with leadership on data-driven tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage data sets for interoperability across programs.
• Collect and integrate large, complex data sets meeting cross-organizational requirements.
• Evaluate data quality, reliability, and efficiency throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software developers, operators, project managers, and clients to prepare data for predictive modeling.
• Document internal process improvements to optimize data delivery and automate manual processes.
• Supports testing and validation procedures to ensure platforms function correctly and gather user feedback.
• Develop essential technical documentation for reference and reporting, including system specifications and modifications.
• Promote regulatory compliance and ethical use of data and platforms.
