Job summary

CG Infinity is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead architecture and delivery of modern data platforms for client engagements. The role blends executive-level dialogue with hands-on engineering, mentoring data teams, and guiding projects from discovery through production.

The ideal candidate combines deep data engineering with consulting instincts, translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions and communicating complex concepts to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data integration, or data architecture.
• Experience in technical leadership roles (lead engineer, architect, or principal engineer).
• Hands-on expertise in SQL and at least one modern language (Python/Scala/Java/C#).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders and teams.
• Facilitate discovery, requirements, architecture reviews, and solution design discussions.
• Translate business goals into scalable data strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
• Design scalable, secure data ingestion, storage, governance, and analytics architectures.
• Remain hands-on in engineering tasks, review code, build proofs of concept, and establish engineering patterns.
• Architect and implement batch, real-time, streaming, and event-driven data solutions.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; drive cross-functional delivery teams.
